McNish on taking Audi racing director role after Wheatley exit

Audi racing director Allan McNish said it was a "no-brainer" to take the role after receiving a phone call from Audi team principal and CEO Mattia Binotto, following Jonathan Wheatley’s departure. McNish said: "The reality is, things change, life changes. So the rule of that is never say never. No, from that perspective, I've known this project from day one. I've been involved in it from literally the beginning, in many different roles. It was a no-brainer from my personal perspective when I got the telephone call, and then went to have the discussion that yes, 100 per cent. Because again, I've lived it from day one. Why wouldn't I?"

FIA revises ADUO review points

The FIA has confirmed tweaks to F1’s ADUO (Additional Development and Upgrade Opportunities) rules after the cancellation of the Bahrain and Saudi Arabian Grands Prix, which has provisionally cut the 2026 calendar to 22 rounds.
