Brundle on goals of FIA's in-season rule tweaks
Martin Brundle says the FIA’s in-season rule tweaks are designed to spread energy use more evenly across a lap and reduce closing speeds, comparing the changes to trying to melt butter on hot toast. Martin Brundle said: "It is a very complex business, but there are two key goals. First and foremost, it is to use the energy more evenly around the track... And then also to try and mitigate some of the closing speeds. I've got an analogy for you, it is like your favourite slice of toast, all hot and ready to be eaten, and you put some butter on it out of the fridge, but the butter won't melt, and it is frustrating."
